Coding HIATUS - December 2022

Hi guys, we're entering a coding hiatus for the time being.

The requests are going to be honored, but they understandably have no priority over the paid ones that will help me feed my family directly (or derive a benefit for my loved ones this Christmas).

I intend to donate my own time when available at a later time.

Thanks for your understanding. The forum itself continues to operate and I will donate my own money to keep the hosting paid but the freeware coding stops for the time being.

Open projects are awesome, community is great yet still we must learn to keep our home priorities straight.

So sad people are happy to pour $$ into the casinos' pockets but are not prepared to spend a dollar or two on your unique program.

It's okay dear @nemo, the software industry is moving toward the hosted "software as a service" with a subscription-based model these days.

In our case, it means we can use the downloadable releases as advertising while offering a separate paid hosted service instead.

This way we don't worry about piracy (it's already given free to download) and our number picker can reuse the bot code AND other fellow programmers can repackage RIBOT with their own modules as they please.

More widespread usage for our releases I say! :)


Having our RIBOT software as Freeware is a boon for our community AND a great way to gather the fellows around.

I picture a unified session format (.rbt) that can be passed freely across the forums, with included spin-to-spin comments.

I'm actually coming out of the hiatus for this second half of the month, so we can expect a new RIBOT release in the following days 👍

@Vic, I said it multiple times already, privately & publicly, specifically a popularity & monetary sound suggestion, & think its best to not just take it into consideration, but act upon it.


The first point is that RS, as its commonly known, is widely used but has running attached major complaint against it; this can be used in your/our favor ... meaning, its prng ain't real-table-spins-sound & although it offers sessions' records + replay including short-play tournaments as an incentive to generate more popularity through competition, as great & practical the platform is due to being platform-agnostic, especially smooth & easy to use interface, it does not offer or support the import of above mentioned true spins -- this is truly at its disadvantage.

Related to this forum & RIBOT itself, establishing a similar online tool directly compatible with RIBOT & envisioned unified session format (.rbt), most importantly with the above-mentioned issue mitigated, & in addition hosted at & accessed through the forum itself --

1)  it would primarily generate popularity to the forum & tool thus simply due to utilizing it, it would increase the number of visits, reads, & potentially post activity as well

2)  on this basis more would also hear & potentially download & use RIBOT

3) the forum would become the primary base for discussion about RIBOT's thus far incorporated & other systems to be

4)  provided RIBOT becomes platform agnostic as well, meaning ease of accessibility across the platforms from PC to mobiles, tablets (home, commuting, other spare time away from home invested in roulette research & avidity, even use at electronic roulettes); the .rbt generated & across other forums & private communications potentially disseminated files, would/could be run & reviewed through the in-house online simulator compatible with RIBOT as well (handy especially for new users & as already mentioned commuting, etc) .. to recap, again, an enlarged pool of potential users, out which a percentage might opt for & upgrade to a paid version, & practicality of use

5)  you might even dress it as an app (Android, iOS), which with wise coding taking in regard to the platforms that facilitate this already, can be done without any & almost no extra work


As you can see all these points joined congruently work & support each other's favor, amplifying the effects of each, bouncing from one another, ultimately an increased forum activity, enlarging/ed the pool of potential paid clients, in-house play & discussions.
