Title: RIBOT on Windows 10
Post by: FreeRoulette on Nov 07, 2022, 02:56 PM
I was able to test on Windows 8.1 and it worked. What version of windows are you running on? Nothing that I have tried so far, including creating a new user has worked on my Windows 10 version.

I am prevented from installing a previous version of .net framework on Windows 10. Does .net framework 4.8 work for anyone else?

RIBOT targets .NET framework 4.5 so it should be working on Windows 7+ (also, on any other OS compatible with this .NET version or above 👍)

Hello @Technoid, it looks like a folder permissions issue.

Please try moving the files to a folder of its own such as:

C:\RIBOT

or perhaps create a folder inside your "Program files" folder for it and unzip there.

Hope it helps!

Glad to assist! Please remember to unzip keeping the original structure of folders.

Any case, a traditional setup.exe installer is due.

(I'm getting some modules finished to release next version in a traditional setup installer so this is fixed for modern Windows users)

Cheers & many thanks for your interest in our free software. May it prove to be what you need for your testing purposes 🤗.
