For some reason, the single dozen doesn't get a lot of love compared to the double dozens. I suppose players think it's much easier having 66% on their side as opposed to choosing a 33% shot!

What strikes me though is that it's basically 66% that you are going to get a change of dozen on the next spin. Taking that into account means you are getting paid 2/1 for picking one of the two alternate dozens from the one that's just appeared. Are there any good strategies that can be used to take advantage of this.

One idea that I like is the Chop effect.

34 3rd doz
23 2nd doz
35 3rd doz
14 2nd doz
30 3rd doz
14 2nd doz
28 3rd doz
24 2nd doz
35 3rd doz

In the above example, dozen 1 is absent which as we know about dozens, they can go AWOL for 10/20/30 spins at a time. What's also happening here is that the remaining two dozens are alternating for that chop effect, it creates a nice little passage of play getting paid out at 2/1 for the chop as opposed to 1/1 on the EC.

Some numbers from today.

14 2nd doz
23 2nd doz
18 2nd doz
30 3rd doz
02 1st doz
30 3rd doz
21 2nd doz
29 3rd doz
15 2nd doz
29 3rd doz
16 2nd doz
11 1st doz
12 1st doz
02 1st doz
11 1st doz
02 1st doz
07 1st doz
16 2nd doz

I will run through them again and add S for Same Dozen or D for Different dozen

14 2nd
23 2nd Same
18 2nd Same
30 3rd Different
02 1st Different
30 3rd Different
21 2nd Different
29 3rd Different
15 2nd Different
29 3rd Different
16 2nd Different
11 1st Different
12 1st Same
02 1st Same
11 1st Same
02 1st Same
07 1st Same

Using some of the tactics that some of us use for the EC, you can see the FTL (follow the last) is working nicely here.
There is a chop run (dozens 2 and 3 between the 6th and 11th spin) Dozen 1 appears 6 times consecutively between spins 12 and 17.

Other times you can see a chop between Same and Different. This acts as a kind of 'terrible two's scenario' in the dozens.

As an example.

12 1st
23 2nd Different
18 2nd Same
32 3rd Different
25 3rd Same
11 1st Different
10 1st Same

The easiest route here is to bet for the Same result which is going to be a repeat of the previous dozen.

There is certainly enough action going on to be able to hunt out single dozen opportunities.

I came up with my own modified STAR MM variant for the single dozen. It gives you plenty of steps because of the feature where if you win the first bet but lose the second bet, you get to replay that step. (only applies to steps 9-28) What you are looking for is to hit two consecutive bets back to back. So any double win at any of the stages and you are in profit.

Modified STAR version for single dozens.

There is an 8 step pre-progression stage and a 20 step main progression stage which gives 28 steps.
You can get more steps in the main progression stage because you take out the stake after the first win of a step and keep it should you lose the second stage of the step. This allows you to try that step again.

Pre-Progression

1) bet 1 = 3/9 w8 or -1
2) bet 1 = 3/9 w7 or -2
3) bet 1 = 3/9 w6 or -3
4) bet 1 = 3/9 w5 or -4
5) bet 1 = 3/9 w4 or -5
6) bet 1 = 3/9 w3 or -6
7) bet 1 = 3/9 w2 or -7
8) bet 1 = 3/9 w1 or -8

Main Progression

9) bet 4 w12 take off 4 = w8. bet 8 w24 -8 = +16. combined win = 24. Total win +16 or total loss -12.
10) bet 4 w12 take off 4 = w8. bet 8 w24 -8 = +16. combined win = 24. Total win = +12 or total loss -16.
11) bet 4 w12 take off 4 = w8. bet 8 w24 -8 = +16. combined win = 24. Total win = +8 or total loss -20.
12) bet 4 w12 take off 4 = w8. bet 8 w24 -8 = +16. combined win = 24. Total win = +4 or total loss -24.
13) bet 6 w18 take off 6 = w12. bet 12 w36 -12 = +24. combined win = 36. Total win = +12 or total loss -30.
14) bet 6 w18 take off 6 = w12. bet 12 w36 -12 = +24. combined win = 36. Total win = +6 or total loss -36.
15) bet 8 w24 take off 8 = w16. bet 16 w48 -16 = +32. combined win = 48. Total win = +12 or total loss - 44.
16) bet 8 w24 take off 8 = w16. bet 16 w48 -16 = +32. combined win = 48. Total win = +4 or total loss -52.
17) bet 10 w30 take off 10 = w20. bet 20 w60 -20 = +40. combined win = 60. Total win = +8 or total loss -62.
18) bet 12 w36 take off 12 = w24. bet 24 w72 -24 = +48. combined win = 72. Total win = +10 or total loss -74.
19) bet 14 w42 take off 14 = w28. bet 28 w84 -28 = +56. combined win = 84. Total win = +10 or total loss -88.
20) bet 16 w48 take off 16 = w32. bet 32 w96 -32 = +64. combined win = 96. Total win = +8 or total loss -104.
21) bet 18 w54 take off 18 = w36. bet 36 w108 -36 = +72. combined win = 108. Total win = +4 or total loss -122.
22) bet 24 w72 take off 24 = w48. bet 48 w144 -48 = +96. combined win = 144. Total win = +22 or total loss - 146.
23) bet 28 w84 take off 28 = w56. bet 56 w168 -56 = +112. combined win = 168. Total win = +22 or total loss -174.
24) bet 32 w96 take off 32 = w64. bet 64 w192 -64 = +128. combined win = 192. Total win = +18 or total loss -206.
25) bet 36 w108 take off 36 = w72. bet 72 w216 -72 = +144. combined win = 216. Total win = +10 or total loss -242.
26) bet 44 w132 take off 44 = w88. bet 88 w264 -88 = +176. combined win = 264. Total win = +22 or total loss -286.
27) bet 52 w156 take off 52 = w104. bet 104 w312 -104 = +208. combined win = 312. Total win = +26 or total loss -338.
28) bet 60 w180 take off 60 = w120. bet 120 w360 -120 = +240. combined win = 360. Total win = +22 or total loss -398.

One old strategy for inspiration, it bust at some point, but the mechanism or march is nice.

Play for one repeat, if a loss, continue in groups of two for six attempts.

12 L
13 L
21 L
32 L
32 L
23 L

Now you bet for a triplet, three unique.

122 LL
131 LL
212 LL
322 LL
322 LL
232 LL

The last bet for triplets can be changed to repeat, back-to-back, or three unique.

Cheers
